You need an MRI if you haven't already got one, make sure you go to a place completely independent of your work if your on work cover or their doctor will diagnose you with psychological pain or something similar.
For buldging disks the recovery time is much, much longer than they claim for many people. I'm sorry but it's the truth. The key is to have sufficient core strength, spinal errector strength as well as lower back, hamstring and glute flexability to take the maximum pressure of your back.
Combine this with a lot of rest: Put your legs in the position shown in this picture. You can just use ordinary cushions or sheets ect. instead of the product.

All of this together will hopefully heal your back slowly, I'm talking over many months here. If not surgery may be an option, but try to avoid it if possible. Find a good specialist to discuss surgery with and an even better one to perform surgery.
